Construction Sites and Websites: Launch Announcement

January 16, 2015

UWW specializes in successful handoffs

One of the things United Webworks does really well is make sure each client is fully prepared for "The Handoff" when Launch Day arrives. A big priority for us is making sure a brand new website is well cared for after the big day, because we know that fumbles are not acceptable!

Cleland Site Prep was given the keys to their new internet home: http://www.clelandsiteprep.com with the assurance that United WebWorks would maintain a vigilant eye on any issues that should arise on the construction website, while maintaining all the computer-y stuff like software upgrades, compatibility issues and refereeing any complications that might arise when computers disagree with each other. All Cleland has to think about is posting fantastic content while watching new customers add their names to the opportunity database!

It's really that easy for any company who is ready to extend their message to the entire planet. Don't sweat all the technical stuff- UWW internet marketing Savannah, GA will take care of that. Focus on your showing people how your company adds value to their world.

Cleland Site Prep was the unhappy owner of an old construction website that just wasn't pulling its weight. Pages were too crammed, confusing, not focused on today's buyers and hard to navigate to the information inquirers really wanted.

They started looking at construction websites of other similar companies and found some good stuff, but nothing with the level of responsive interactivity they wanted.

That sounded like a job for United Webworks! Seamless Functionality is our middle name. (and you thought our middle name was "Danger…").

One example of this is the site's ability to create vendor accounts with a file manager extension. Cleland's staff have the ability to fine tune what's available to their partners who are able to log into Cleland’s FTP server via a link in the footer of each page. It's been our experience that many internet-leveraging features like this go unused or just plain ignored. The old adage was never more apropos: an ounce of (setup) is worth a pound of (drudgery). OK so we updated the adage just a little. We were more than happy to help Cleland Site Prep take advantage of a feature that makes business easier for everyone!

Automated Job Application forms

Of course Cleland Site Prep has a Careers page with some snazzy job application forms that have already saved them hours by having the applicant enter their information straight into their hiring database.

Yes, it took some time to design and test each form, but now that it's done, the hiring process is much more efficient and greener to boot! And by the way, you can access and fill out the forms on any mobile device due to the website’s responsiveness to any computing platform that loads it.

Speaking of time, from start to finish the Cleland project took about 10 weeks starting with the initial consultation, and creating the theme and design of the entire site. Once things were sketched out, our programmers placed dummy content in each page to test them. Then it was off to create those beautiful forms, making them responsive within the specified parameters.

We test Everything before launch!

We have all seen the ads on TV where the auto manufacturer subjects  their new minivan to all kinds of hellish-looking tests to make sure it's safe yet zippy for mom and the kids. Well, we do that to every inch of a website we create. There really aren't any shortcuts to thorough testing.

The final stages are for quality control like hunting for typos, precisely tweaking the overall design, making sure every typeface and font size matches the consistent look and feel of the entire site. We also make sure the text is optimized for great search returns for organic search traffic.

Return on investment, you say? The Cleland staff is also trained in parsing their website traffic using Google Analytics. They get fine-grained data on what's happening with the new site so they can fine tune it even further. They can also track the return on their investment in a high-quality website. Bosses and bean-counters love it when a marketing decision not only pays for itself, but results in growth for the entire company! Internet marketing Savannah, GA, has never been easier.

Cleland Site Prep is an established company that continues to plan for expansion. Their partnership with United WebWorks gives them an attractive pipeline for business in more than a few aspects. We've written in this blog previously about effective website-building principles, and there's a great example on Cleland's home page.

One commonly used principle that takes advantage of the natural motion of our eyes scanning a page is to arrange the page elements in a "Z" formation. See if you can trace the Z in the Cleland home page:

Under normal circumstances, the viewer's eye starts at the top, noticing the company logo and contact information. Next, it follows the orientation of the roof in the picture diagonally down to the row of buttons below encouraging the next navigational move to correspond to what kind of customer you are: Military, Government, General Contractor, Developer or Residential.

United Webworks thrives on the snowflake principle. Each project is totally unique and finely crafted, but the end purpose goes way beyond a beautiful design. Pile up enough pretty snowflakes and soon you’ve got a winter wonderland! Our clients tell us that what they REALLY want is more business, so it’s always a pleasure to see our detailed attention to the small stuff result in knee-deep sales and profit for our clients.

Construction Websites - Another Successful website launch!

Congratulations to Cleland Site Prep, and long may the earth-moving business pile up!
